    Getting Started
    The existence of a Data Governance function is a measure of the maturity of Data Management within an organization
    
    Step 1 : Assess the 'As-Is' Situation
    Determine existing Roles, Responsibilities, Policies and Procedures.
    
    
    Step 2: Determine the 'To-Be' Situation
    Establish a realistic targets at quarterly intervales for the mext 12 months.
    
    
    Step 3: Carry out Vertical and Horizontal Planning
    The next step is to establish a thin slice of Data Governance from top to bottom (the 'Vertical), 
    and then to assign Roles and Resonsibilities, with short-term and long-term Objectives,(the Horizontal).
